Pre-K

Education

I received a bachelor's degree from Shorter College, a master's degree from State University of West Georgia, my post-baccalaureate early childhood education teacher preparation from Berry College, and a specialist degree from Piedmont College. In addition, Georgia's Pre-K teachers receive annual training from Bright From the Start. This training is specifically geared to helping teachers meet the educational and social/emotional needs of the Pre-K student.

Experience

This is my 17th year of teaching school. I have taught Pre-K for eight years. I have taught first grade, third grade, and special education classes as well. Prior to teaching, I worked as a social worker.

Bio

I have lived in Gordon County 27 years. I am married and I have one son, Harley,  who recently graduated from Mercer University. My hobbies include walking and reading.
