I grew up in Gordon County going to Swain, Ashworth and then graduating from Gordon Central in the first graduating class of 1989. I began Kennesaw State University after my son turned two years old. I graduated in May of 2003 with a Bachelor's Degree of Science in Early Childhood Education. I have since received my Reading Endorsement and Mathematics Endorsement from Northwest Georgia Regional Educational Service Agency (NWGaRESA). I am currently working on my ESOL – English as a Second Language Endorsement through Pioneer RESA.

This will be my first year as a teacher in ESOL. I have worked as the ESOL classroom teacher many times. I am greatly looking forward to applying everything I have learned to the classroom. I will be joining my students during Language Arts and Reading. We will be focusing on writing and vocabulary.

I am married to Tony McGuire of Adairsville. We have one son, Bryson, who is attending 11th grade through Georgia Cyber Academy. We have one dog, a Newfoundland- Bassett Hound mix named Hudson and two cats. As a family, we enjoy traveling and have visited most of the United States from Maine to California, and Florida to Washington including Alaska. I enjoy photography, hiking, and rafting.

I am excited about this school year and working with your child to reach his or her potential. We have set the bar high and are confident that your child will be able to reach the goals we have set. Please contact me by note or e-mail ( ) with any questions you may have concerning your child.
