Subjects Taught
3rd Grade

I am a graduate of the University of Georgia.  I have a BSEd in Early Childhood Education.  I graduated in 1995, and I am a huge Georgia Bulldog fan.

I began my teaching career in a small town in Northeast Georgia called Lexington.  I taught at Oglethorpe County Elementary and Primary for six years.  I was a first grade teacher for the entire time that I taught in Lexington.  This was a fantastic experience, and I have wonderful memories from that time.

This is my sixth year at W.L. Swain.  I have only taught third grade at Swain.  I really enjoy this age group, and I know that I will learn as much from the students as they will learn from me.

My name is Emily Crowe and I am an ELA  teacher for the third grade.  I have been teaching for 14 years, six of which have been at W.L. Swain.  I look forward to spending the year with your child!

I am a graduate from The University of Georgia.  Many fall days are spent enjoying watching the Bulldogs play.  My husband, Frank Crowe, is also a UGA graduate.

I have two daughters.  Lilly is a seventh grader at Ashworth, and Katie is a senior  at Gordon Central.  They both enjoy traveling and Disney.  Lilly loves pets and Katie loves performing in chorus and theater at GC.  We also have a cat named Callie.  She keeps the entire family laughing.

We are going to have a wonderful year that will be filled with knowledge!  Your child will grow even more proficient at writing narrative pieces, opinion pieces, and informational pieces.     They will grow confident in their abilities to use writing to express their thoughts.  Please feel free to call or email if you have questions.
