Gordon County Farm Bureau partnered with Swain Elementary for a very unique learning experience. All Swain students have gotten to visit the media center daily for twenty-one days to watch as baby chicks were hatched using an incubator provided by Gordon County Farm Bureau. Students used the provided calendar to see what stage the eggs were in each day until the chicks hatched. Second grade students had the opportunity to listen to Ms. Elizabeth Arnold present information about poultry farming and the life cycle of a chicken on the day the incubator arrived. Thank you Farm Bureau for your generous support!
